The Columbia Investment Management Company (IMC)
The Columbia Investment Management Company (IMC) manages the bulk of the University’s endowment. The IMC is governed by a Board of highly distinguished professionals from a variety of financial backgrounds and run by its management team, headed by its President and CEO, Kim Lew.
The goal of the IMC is to generate attractive long-term risk-adjusted returns. The asset allocation of the portfolio and the IMC’s manager selection strategies are not based upon quarterly or even annual market movements. The IMC believes that such an approach is consistent with the University’s objective to achieve growth in the endowment over the long term.
